[Site News] Nantonaku Through 2015

I’ve thought about whether I would write a post for the end of the year.

Usually I’d do a Nanto Poll for winter asking the questions I usually ask about where you come from and why you come to me, and what versions of translations you prefer, but chances are very little has changed since the summer poll, and the last thing I want to do is bother my dedicated reader asking the same things.

But to start I’d like to give you all some stats.

Since SayuGrad in Nov. 2014 There have been:
Upward of 340 Fukuchan posts
Upward of 320 Harunan posts
Upward of 240 Aika posts*
Upward of 540 Gaki posts
[*note: This includes entries I posted that didn’t need translations but were included for indexing her posts]

That is a lot of post to be in a little over a year.
Part off me sees it as a sign of pride that we’ve… that I’ve done so much in such a time.
Without fully counting, Fukuchan and Harunan together did more posts together than I translated of Sayu blogs in her last year.

At the same time we haven’t grown much this year.
Without the blessing of Sayu on my back, I can’t help but feel more than ever that I’m talking into the digital ether of nothingness and only hearing my echo. I know that’s not true, I’ve seen the replies from drops I’ve left on H!O, and I get the occasional thanks so I know it’s not so, but that feeling still exists.

For those of you reading, you have all my appreciation.
I’ve said I do this for myself, and in part that is true.
But, putting it up, trying to make it presentable, that is for everyone.
So for even taking the moment to read this, I thank you for at least attempting to hear me, and not just what Fukuchan, Honey, Aika, or Gaki have to say.

It hasn’t been the best year for me. As I try to find what I need to do and what I want to do in my life other than Idol culture, I am coming to grips with what I want to do with Idol culture as well.

So, where do we go from here? As 2015 comes to a close, what will 2016 hold?

Morning Musume。 continues to evolve and change. And once again an opportunity has arisen for people to show their spirit. And here I am without the means to do that myself. I take to you all with your spirit, wanting to be like the people who get to be the best wota they can be all time, to take that opportunity if you can and make it shine. Even when the benefits looks bleek, when you’re not getting the SSS-rank rewards, if you want to show your stuff that you do it.

I will be here, for myself, for Honey, for Fukuhime, for Aikachan, for Gakisan, for the wish and dream of Sayu, and for you if you want me to be here.

I make no promises, I cannot say if things will be better. I can’t say I will be able to do more. All I can say is I’ll do what comes naturally to the atmosphere. And if you’d like to be there, then I will be there too.

If 2014 was the end of an era for me, then 2015 was a journey through the fog. And so I hope that 2016 will be the age of discovery!

I, really am not good with cooking.

This morning, when I opened the refrigerator there was some fresh cream so,

and there was spaghetti so,

I made it, Carbonara.

Well, even though it looks like that, the taste, was like that.

Tomorrow seems like it’ll be BataBata clamouring so
Right now…♡

This year, all year I’ve been truly, truly
indebted too

My fifth year being by myself but,
It’d be a lie if I said there really weren’t time when my heart’s been unsure,
I have to just bear it
that thoughts happened countless times too.

But,
before I give it all I got there’s always
everyone there supportling me,
welcoming me warmly with smiles.

Those times,
I want to live there.
For that, I need to hold on recklessly
by all means moving forward
Again, I’ll meet everyone for sure！！！

That’s how I feel.

And so, next year too
doing it my way,
with all my power
In plays, to have even a little of something for everyone
and bring it back with me,
I feel like I want there to be roles for that.

Today, 12/29 is！

Our Morning Musume。’15、Commemorative 60th Triple A-side Single

『Tsumetai Kaze to Kataomoi/ENDLESS SKY/One and Only』’s

release dayー

For Sayashi Riho-san it will be her last single.

The last single to come out with these 13 people.

These 3 songs are, songs each with mostly their own atmosphere but, each isa song I feel is filled with hope！

Tsumetai Kaze to Kataomoi is, Sayashi-san’s graduation song.
The lyrics are like singing a song facing the person your unrequitedly loving but, I feel like, “Behind that it depicts the form of Sayashi-san’s character doesn’t it?” (*^^*)

ENDLESS SKY is, what I feel, a song towards a person with determination and resolution, pushing their back forward. When singing it it feels like it’s towards Sayashi-san’s graduation but, at the same time, it also has feelings towards us becoming ’16 too！

One and Only is, an entirely English song！！ It was very hard but, it feels like we’ve really explanded our possibilities from here！ Evolving even more, it’s a song that makes me believe we can do it (^-^)！

Those of you listening ot them all, I have confidence that you’ll think these ３ songs are fantastic for sure

In this today, we had the new song’s release commemorative event

In Yesterday’s blog I wrote about the 13 of us being together for the event but, yesterday, Ogata Haruna-chan wasn’t feeling well so she was absent.

The feeling was of the 13 of us together！

Everyone who was worried, I’m sorry

Today, Ogata-chan was revitalized too, so it was an event with all 13 of us (*^^*)

It was ２ shows so, at the live corner…！

with the original members （9ki-san & 10ki, the 8 of us） we performaned it

It’s been about 3 years since we performed it, the moment the setlist was decided we were WakuWaku excited～(*^^*)！！！

At rehearsals, I could see the smile on each of us through the mirror, without saying anything at all, you could feel the “Waaaaa”

When taking pictures, usually it’s 13 of us so there being just 8 of us in that space, we were like, “There’s so little of usss！！！！” (°_°)

Getting to exchange glances made me really really happy

I feel like, surrounded by all the fans, it was a very fantastic space, and it ended up being a very fantastic event didn’t it?！

After we finished we got a Job Well Done cake too

With everyone WaiWai excited we had the yumminess！

All that’s left is the Countdown Live

Today for Riho-chan it was the last event before her graduation concert huh.

For 9ki and 10ki we got to sing our precious song too

When we sang it about 3 years ago and are voices now are like totally different voices… when we sang through the mic it was surprising！

But in the end getting to sing it with the original members made me happy you know

There’s lots of things about the end of the year that make you lonely but
this year with events and things, getting to spend it with lots of you all together makes me happy

Even getting to be together the 13 of us makes me happy
