So the Summer poll happened for about a week, and now I’m to talk about it and how it effects the translations going forward!
First off, thank you to those of you who took part in the poll, especially if you left a comment, cause it helps to know it’s not just random votes (lol I’m joking).
We got 30 votes about for each question which while I lost the old poll results when I moved here I believe that is actually a record breaking number! With about 300 visitors a day, the fact that I got 1/10 of you to do something is a feat! *confetti in the air* Oh I also consider that 50% of you in total are probably bots or webcrawlers anyway lol.
Okay so breakdowns:

Blog reading: Most of you read all the main blog translations, though second was reading 3 out of 5. I’ll make the leap to guess that means the top three of the which do you read owuld be those three, being Iikubo, Fukuchan, and Sayu. Surprisingly, while Iikubo is read by most people, Sayu (and of the actives Fukuchan) lead in “Main blog”. I’m also happy to know how fast I do translations does make a difference, as you’re mostly daily types.

Translation style: I had assumed some things about the readers before I made the poll and you guys have told me that my instincts were mostly right. Most users either have a rudimentary knowledge of Japanese set phrases, or can remember them if I define them once. I also assumed since the internet loves the “notice me senpai” joke lately, that you all would like the use of that more and I was right. As a result prepare for these changes voted on by you!
-I will now leave greeting phrases and combo phrases in Japanese with 1st time translations (So now Mizuki blogs will consistently open and close with Japanese Konban pon and OyasuMizuki)
-I will attempt to 1 time translate combo terms, song names, and what not and see if it comes up that people will request it be translated again. This is why I do polls every once and a while to see if opinions change.
-We will now attempt to use Kouhai/Senpai structure for the titles instead of my junior/my senior. Note there is a distinction in translation between if someone says “Watashi no Senpai, Michishige-san” and “Michishige-senpai” and you’ll notice it when I translate.

Other:
Donation Inquiry: You guys basically told me no, which I understand. I admit foolishly I included 2 different kinds of no knowing full well that some people will take “I have no money” rather loosely as “No I don’t have money at all” vs. “I wouldn’t give you money but I’m willing to buy a PS4” kind of dealio. And I admit the point was to see if I really needed cash if I could make it work and you’ve all told me no and I should probably never try. Which makes me sad just a little cause I’m sure this is how Aika is making money =P. That last sentence was a joke please don’t take that too seriously.
Sayu Material Translations: I will try but at the same time I’m kind of dealing with life issues so I can’t make promises, but it’s nice to know there’s still interest.

Thank you guys for the feedback, we do these about twice a year so if things change I’m sure at least 1/10th of you will let me know lol.
Till next time!
